This year in bikinis, I was loving the prints as did my friends, but I decided to go with this grey/nude toned set from Maheli Heli, a local swimwear brand that makes customizable and handmade bikinis, known for its simple yet chic look. I loved how the color looked on y skin tone, but to add a little more detail to it, I used a strap from another bikini to tie the front of my top piece, and gave it some more color. I accessorized it with mix-n-match indigo earrings (love that color), and a couple statement necklaces. One earring was a shell, and the other a starfish. I was going for a mermaid theme. Although I didn’t get a picture with it 😞, over the bottom of my bikini I had a black mesh wrap from Nikki’s Beach House, a local boutique here in Miami. My shades were my usual ones from Cole Haan, bought at Nordstrom Rack.
With my birthday being only 3 days after the first the of Fall, and this boat day being 5 days after…this was not only a goodbye to Summer, but a hello and welcome to 23 years of life! 23 or as some call it, your Jordan Year, is supposed to be full of wonderful and amazing things things and events in your life. I believe every year should be like that, but after all, why not make it an excuse for 23 to be extra special and spontaneous.
Something I had been wanting to do for so long now, was a boat day on a sunny day in Miami. After living here for so many years now, its crazy to think I hand’t done so already. Of course I had been on little ferries and boat tours, but that doesn’t count. This year, I was so happy to celebrate 23 trips around the sun by having a few of girlfriends and I relax & soak up the the Sunday sun on a private boat. We hanged at the sandbar, floated on floaties, danced to the music, saw the skyline, and made memories. Although we spent hours on the boat, I could have easily stayed there the whole day. But I have a feeling that we’ll be doing it sometime soon again..
